Journal has always been a fan of Seetal Solanki’s Ma-tt-er design studio; this piece by It’s Nice That is a great introduction to her incredible work.

The Journal office has spent all this week catching up on the London Fashion Week Men’s collections. It’s been great to see Vivienne Westwood back showing in London after several years in Milan!

We think this will be the event of LFW17 in February, with Vivenne Westwood holding a night at newly opened Fabric in support of Climate Revolution.

This new film Club Ark Eternal by Kenzo had us all hypnotised, watching their interpretation of club culture and its role against racism, sexual oppression and class violence.

American Chordata is our new magazine to watch out for. Published twice a year it features writings and works from all across the world from short stories and poems to non-fiction and photos. It’s also available to read online.

Indian artist and muralist, Poornima Sukumar has been inspiring us this week with her incredible project with trans-people in Banglore.

This exhibition at the Grey Art Gallery at New York University looks fascinating as it tells the history of the NY art scene and its upstart gallery scene in the 1950s and early 1960s.

To counteract all that festive excess, we’ve been loving Gill Meller’s seasonal recipes all using local produce. This fresh chicken broth is the perfect light meal for January.

January doesn’t have to be spent at home avoiding eating out because you want something healthy, this list from the Londonist is the best we’ve found for getting all our nutrients when out and about.

This article by the Guardian gave us all a little boost in keeping our new year’s resolutions this week, and a spur of energy to keep on going with them, even with a few minor slip ups…
