THE WEEK CURATED: JOURNAL’S BEST OF THE WEB

Every week the Journal team share the very best of what they’ve been reading, watching and listening to on everything from fashion and design to wellness and food.

Tate Modern announced this week that they’re putting on their first solo Picasso exhibition next year, featuring works that rarely leave Paris and we already cannot wait. Only 13 months to go.

Journal favourite David Hockney has redesigned controversial paper The Sun’s logo and done a double page interview. We’ve been wondering if Hockney was trolling the paper, but apparently not according to the Creative Review…

We’re looking forward to kicking off New York Fashion Week by watching the new Dior documentary on Channel 4 next Thursday.

The Journal editor wants this table more than any other furniture item ever made. Sounds like a big claim but this incredible table is made from resin with a 50,000 year old wood inlay. Yes, 50,000 year old.

AnOther Magazine has done a beautiful and fascinating look back of Japanese make-up brand Shishedo’s beauty magazines, featuring covers from their 140 year history.

Frances Bean Cobain made her modelling debut for Marc Jacobs’ SS17 campaign and we love it!

This week was Copenhagen Fashion Week and we’ve been glued to the updates and beautiful Scandi designs.

We’re excited for Sadler’s Wells’ renowned Flamenco Festival returning this month. The theatre is 10 minutes from our office and this is a perfect excuse to support our fellow local businesses.

So Japan has created KitKat sushi and we are both intrigued and disgusted. Apparently they look like fish sushi but have a sweet taste.

As dry January is over, we are looking forward to trying some new wines. This list of volcanic wines from Fiona Beckett has caught our eye.
