AFFORDABLE ART FAIR GUIDE: BATTERSEA SPRING 2017

The Affordable Art Fair is back in Battersea Park this week, featuring stands from galleries and artists across London, the UK and the rest of the world.

Pieces include works from both established and up and coming artists with all available to buy and take away from the event.

We’ve scoured their galleries list and shortlisted the ones we can’t wait to see!

Raquelle Azran Vietnamese Contemporary Fine Art

Raquelle Azran is a collector and museum curator of Vietnamese fine art with works from her collection currently on loan to many international museums. Azran says that Vietnamese art evokes both surprise and delight with the unusual combination of familiar media such as oil and watercolour and distinctly Asian motifs.

Artspace Warehouse

Based in LA and Zurish, Artspace Warehouse exhibits a large selection of affordable art with all pieces original and one-of-a-kind. In the LA gallery, all pieces range between $100 to $4,000 with most works under $1,500, meaning this gallery a good opportunity to find that bargain piece. This is a gallery not to miss!

Bristol Contemporary Art

This is an online only gallery that showcases throughout the year at a number of shows, as well as putting on exhibitions in Bristol. Their artists are from across the world and work in a range of mediums from oil and watercolour to ceramics and metalwork.

Clifton Boulder Gallery

Based in Amsterdam, Clifton Boulder Gallery has a focus on South African art, as they say on their website, ‘for no reason other than that we are very impressed by the beauty, the power and the expressiveness of these works’. After visiting the South African art exhibition at the British Museum [link], we’re excited to see a collection that we can actually own!
